NEW YORK, NY – The Skyline Conference office announced last week the names of the student-athletes that made the Winter/Spring Scholar-Athlete list. A total of 318 student-athletes across the conference’s 11 schools made the list, and Yeshiva University was tied for the school with the most student-athletes on the list (42). For the entire 2009-2010 season, there were a total of 676 student-athletes on the list, a record number for the conference.
NEW YORK, NY – Chana Gila Ovits, a senior Epee specialist, is one of six student-athletes named to the EWFC Woman of the Year Honorable Mention squad as announced by the EWFC at the end of last week. This is the third year the EWFC has named a Woman of the Year and an Honorable Mention team.
NEW YORK, NY – Thursday evening marked the first time ever that the athletics award banquet was held in the Max Stern Athletic Center, as the teams have grown exponentially over the years. Over 280 athletes, administrators, and guests were present to celebrate the fifteen 2009-2010 athletic teams that Yeshiva sponsors. Attendees were treated to a night of special awards for their teammates along with the unveiling of a new Championship banner for the men’s volleyball team.
