NEW YORK, NY – The Skyline Conference announced yesterday the weekly baseball award winners and Yeshiva’s Elie Baratz was selected as the Rookie of the Week. This award marks the first time since Yeshiva joined the conference in 2007 that a Maccabee was selected for a weekly award. The right fielder began his career with a 3-3 performance against CCNY on Sunday.
NEW YORK, NY – The baseball team had to wait a few extra days to get their season going after bad weather prevented the season from starting early last week. The team finally made it on the field to open the season Sunday afternoon, however they dropped both games in the double header against CCNY 15-1 and 11-9.
NEW YORK, NY – The men’s volleyball team traveled to NJCU for a NECVA tri-match Sunday, and came home with a 1-1 split. In the first game against NJCU, Yeshiva fell 0-3 (12-30, 17-30, 16-30). In the second game against Sage College, the Macs earned their first win in the NECVA conference, 3-1 (30-22, 28-30, 30-25, 30-25). Overall, Yeshiva stands at 10-9 on the season.
NEW YORK, NY – As announced by the HVMAC office, Zanvy Grauman has been selected as the men’s volleyball Player of the Week. This marks the second straight week that a Yeshiva volleyball player has received the award.
