Men's and Women's Cross Country Finish 8th at Hunter Invitational

David Sweet and Simi Lampert Led their Teams on Sunday
NEW YORK, NY – Both the men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the Hunter Invitational this Sunday, finishing 8th in their respective fields. The men were part of a 14 team field, while the women competed against 11 others.
David Sweet led the men with a time of 31:38, good for 14th overall. Aryeh Shapiro placed 2nd for the Maccabees and 28th overall, with a time of 33:44. Joel Dvorim rounded out the top 3 with a time of 38:17, good for 55th overall.
On the women’s side, Simi Lampert ran a team best 34:41 for a 35th place finish. Basyah Klyman followed with a 37th place finish in 35:16, followed closely by Sara Hindin with a time of 35:39.
Both teams are practicing this week in preparation for the Hudson Valley Conference Championships on Sunday the 25th. The women will start things off at 11:00 a.m. followed by the men at noon. The Championships are being held at Purchase College.
