Three Finish in Top-35 as Women's Cross Country Places 6th at HVWAC Championships

NEW YORK, NY – The Yeshiva women’s cross country team placed 6th at the Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference Championships held this past Sunday at Purchase College. Sara Hindin led the team with a 30th place finish in 28:13 (5k).
Following Hindin was Basyah Klyman in 31st, only 9 seconds behind (28:22). In 33rd place was Aviva Bloom with a time of 28:58. Rounding out the scorers were Gabriella Wasserman in 39th place (32:01) and Avigail Soloveichik in 44th with a time of 36:20.
Albany College of Pharmacy won the team title (54), beating out Sarah Lawrence College and Culinary Institute of America by one point (55). New Rochelle placed 4th (100), followed by St. Joseph’s Brooklyn (110), Yeshiva (146), Pratt Institute (INC), and Cooper Union (INC).
Up next for the women are the Skyline Conference Championships on Sunday. The location is Van Cortlandt Park and the 5k race will begin at noon.
