Yeshiva Places 4th at YU Invitational

NEW YORK, NY – The Yeshiva men’s golf team hosted 5 other schools in the 2009 installment of the Yeshiva Invitational, held at Hudson Hill GC in Ossining, NY. The Maccabees placed 4th amongst the field, and second best of the competing Skyline Schools. With a team score 11 shots better than the runner-up, Manhattan College won the Invitational with a score of 314.
Leading the Yeshiva scoring was Sam Ulrich (San Diego, CA/San Diego Jewish Academy) with an 84, a score that was tied for 7th best amongst the 29 individual competitors. Following closely was Tzvi Simpson (Lawrence, NY/DRS) with an 89, and Eli Sipzner (West Orange, NJ/Frisch) scored a 93. Adam Silverstein (Beverly Hills, CA/YULA) scored an even 100, as the Maccabees had a team score of 366.
Hudson Hills Golf Course is a par-71 with a rating of 71.0 and a slope rating of 129. Yardage from the green tees, which were being used for the Invitational, is listed at 6,323 yards.
