NEW YORK, NY – Skyline Conference Commissioner Tracy King announced weekly award winner for men's and women's soccer, and three Maccabees were amongst those selected to the honor roll. Two men's soccer players, Mark Rocklin (Rochester, NY/Halb) and Yaniv Lautman (Cleveland, OH/Fuchs Mizrachi) and one women's soccer player, Atara Kanarfogel (Teaneck, NJ/Bruriah) made the weekly honor roll.
Rocklin, Yeshiva's goalkeeper, was selected to the honor roll after the first week of play. During the stretch, he stopped 78% of the shots he faced, including all 9 in the shutout victory over Lehman College.
Lautman was named to the honor roll after the second week of play, after scoring three times in an 8-2 win over Webb. His first goal, towards the end of the first half, was the team's third which proved to be the game winner.
Kanarfogel was named to the women's soccer honor roll, after scoring three times and assisting on another goal in the 4-0 shutout win over Berkeley. The win was the team's first this season.
