Seth Nayowitz Named Skyline Player of the Week

NEW YORK, NY – The Skyline Conference Commissioner Tracy King announced earlier this week the men’s tennis Player of the Week, and Yeshiva’s Seth Nayowitz took home the honors. He is the second Maccabee to win the award this season.
Selections are based on the previous week’s play, and Seth had a great week. He finished 3-0 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles play. Against Mount Saint Mary, Seth came back from a set down to win 1-6, 6-1, 11-9 in a super tiebreaker. He went to a second super tiebreaker against St. Joseph’s and came out ahead 6-4, 2-6, 10-6. Against York he won convincingly 6-2, 6-3. The wins put his singles victories at 5 in a row, 6-2 overall this season.
The Macs have two more matches before the Skyline Championships begin next week. They will host Farmingdale on Wednesday at 8PM, and Bard on Sunday at noon.
