NEW YORK, NY – The wrestling team was at the annual Bob Quade Cyclone Open Sunday, which is hosted by Centenary College.  Open events are individually scored, therefore no team scores are associated with the event.
 
125 lbs. – Gedalia Romanof was Yeshiva's only wrestler in the 125lb class.  Romanof was pinned in his first match in 3:21, and then later in the third place bracket in :34. 
 
133 lbs. – Amichai Levy won his first match 9-4 before dropping the ensuing match after being pinned in 5:30.  In his third place match, Levy was pinned in 3:20.
 
157 lbs. – Ron Simchi pinned his first round opponent in 1:55 before falling in his second match to the eventual runner-up in the weight class.  In the third place bracket, he pinned his first opponent in 1:06 and his second opponent in 2:15, before losing 9-6 in his final match of the day.
 
165 lbs. – Eli Fuld lost his first match 15-0 (tf 3:06), Michael Lunzer was pinned in 1:41, and Michael Alpert fell 16-5.  In the third place bracket, Fuld lost 8-2, Lunzer was pinned in 1:32, and Alpert fell 4-1.
 
184 lbs. – Boris Shulkin was pinned by the eventual champion from Centenary in his first match, and was later pinned in 2:30 in his third place match.
 
285 lbs. – Jacob Novikov was pinned by the runner-up in 1:25 and then later pinned in 2:00 in his third place bracket match.
 
Yeshiva has two straight home matches coming up, the first against St. Joseph's Brooklyn on December 11^th at 4:00 PM.  They are home again on the 15^th against Gloucester County College at 7PM.
