Men's Cross Country Places Third at Skyline Championships for Second Straight Year

Team captain and senior, Samuel Cohen was one of three Macs to place in the 15th-through-17th slots at Chadwick Lake Park.
NEWBURGH, N.Y. - The Yeshiva University men's cross country team finished off its 2012 season under first-year head coach Brendan Donoghue in similar fashion to its 2011 campaign, as the three-time defending Hudson Valley Men's Athletic Conference (HVMAC) champions rounded out the season with a third-place showing for the second year in a row at the Skyline Conference Championships, hosted at Chadwick Lake Park.

Three Maccabees finished within 6.02 seconds of each other, as senior Oliver Sax (University Heights, Ohio), classmate Samuel Cohen (Thornhill, Ont.) and junior Isaac Markel (Teaneck, N.J.) placed 15th (30:50.94), 16th (30:56.01) and 17th (30:56.96) on the 8,000-meter course, respectively. Sophomore Dov Levine (W. Hempstead, N.Y.) captured 20th-place scoring points with a time of 31:40.53), while sophomore Yossi Lipton (Toronto, Ont.) rounded out the Macs' scoring quintet with a 32:08.56 run.
