MILTON, N.Y. --- The Yeshiva University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Skyline Conference Championships at the Hudson Valley Sportsdome in Milton, New York on Sunday. The men finished in third place in their 8k event while the women took fourth place running a 5k race.
Sophomore
Laurel Aaronson (Seattle, Wash. / Northwest Yeshiva) led the women's team, finishing twelfth among scoring runners with a time of 22:12.5. Aaronson's performance qualified her for a Second Team All-Conference accolade. Junior
Lyndsey Pere (West Hempstead, N.Y. / HANC) was just 4.1 seconds behind Aaronson, while senior
Shoshana Mond (Miami Beach, Fla. / RASG Hebrew Academy) had a time of 23:51.0.
For the men, senior Shvey Mirkin (Baltimore, Md. / Talmudical Academy) and senior
Noam Polster (Cleveland, Ohio / FMS) finished back to back in fifteenth and sixteenth place. Mirkin had a time of 30:49.4 while Polster finished with a time of 31:00.0. Sophomore
Avraham Raichman (Houston, Tex.) clocked a time of 31:28.2.
Yeshiva will finish their season on November 8
th at the Nick Russo Halloween Classic hosted by the New Jersey Institute of Technology at Branch Brook Park in Newark, New Jersey.
