Newark, N.J.- The Yeshiva University men's and women's cross country teams completed the 2015 season by competing in the Nick Russo Halloween Classic at Branch Brook Park. The race included 102 runners who all ran a five kilometer race. The event was an individual race which had both men and women running together and team scores were not kept.
Avraham Raichman was the top male finisher for the Maccabees. He finished third overall in 17 minutes with teammate
Noam Polster right behind him at 17:11 coming in fifth overall.
Shuey Mirkin was the seventh finisher in 17:31.
Nadav Erlich finished eleventh in 18:07 with teammate
Jake Schrier behind him in twelfth finishing in 18:16. Coming in fifteenth in 18:27 was
Eli Balsam with
Sammy Schwartz close behind in 18:34 finishing sixteenth overall.
Lyndsey Pere was the top female finisher for the Maccabees finishing thirty-seventh overall with a time of 20:51. Pere was the third female finisher. Behind her was teammate and co-captain
Laurel Aaronson who came in fiftieth overall and was the eighth female finisher in 22:10. Co-captain
Shoshana Mond finished in 22:56 which put her at sixty-first overall making her the sixteenth female finisher. In sixty-forth overall was Rebecca Van Bemmelen who completed the race in 23:13 and was the eighteenth female finisher. Following right behind her was teammate
Dena Edelman who finished the race in 23:17.
Miriam Einhorn came in seventy-third overall with a time of 24:05.
