NEW YORK, N.Y.— The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) announced its list of All-Academic team members amongst its fall 2014 sports and thirty-two Yeshiva student-athletes made the list for being at least sophomore status and maintaining a cumulative 3.5 grade point average or higher.
The 32 honorees included 10 members from women's soccer team, 10 members from the women's cross country team, nine members from the men's cross country team, and three members from the women's volleyball team.
"Having so many of our student-athletes recognized on the all-academic team shows just how dedicated our athletes are not only during competition but also in the classroom," said Yeshiva University Director of Athletics,
Joe Bednarsh. "I am proud to be able to say that each year that more Yeshiva student-athletes are named to this team than from any other school. It proves that you don't have to sacrifice your GPA to be a successful student-athlete."
