BRONX, NY --- The Yeshiva University cross country teams competed at the Queensborough Cross Country Invitational on Sunday at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. The men's team took first place in the competition while the women finished fourth.
Senior
Noam Polster turned in an excellent performance to lead the men, finishing second overall in a field of 85 runners with a time of 30:40.8. Senior
Shuey Mirkin came in fifth overall with a time of 31:32.0. Sophomore
Michael Bouaziz clocked in at 32:48.4, good enough for eleventh place.
Leading the women was sophomore
Lyndsey Pere who finished with a time of 23:24.0, placing her sixth overall. Senior
Rebecca van Bemmelen had a time of 24:51.3.
The team will race next at the City College of New York Invitational on Sunday, October 11
th.
