NEW YORK, N.Y. - Skyline Conference Commissioner, Linda Bruno, has announced the Academic Honor Roll for the 2017 Winter and Spring sports seasons, which honors student-athletes in the conference with a grade point average of 3.30 or better for the spring semester (and overall 2016-17 GPA for men's and women's basketball players). 54 Yeshiva University student-athletes of the winter and spring teams (men's and women's basketball, men's volleyball, men's tennis, baseball, and softball) were enrolled.
"The balance our student-athletes continue to exhibit in the classroom and in competition speaks volumes to their character," said Bruno. "Their exploits reflect the Division III philosophy statement, and these young men and women exemplify what a student-athlete experience should be."
The men's volleyball team led the way for the Maccabees with 13 student-athletes making the list, which also leads the Skyline in that sport. Yeshiva also had the most men's tennis student-athletes make the honor roll in the conference with 11 inductees.
"Once again, YU's student-athletes prove that they can excel in the classroom while succeeding on the field of play," Director of Athletics, Mr.
Joe Bednarsh said. "I am so proud of these young men and women."
