This award marks the first time since Yeshiva joined the conference in 2007 that a Maccabee was selected for a weekly award. In the first game against NJCU, Yeshiva fell 0-3 (12-30, 17-30, 16-30).  In the second game against Sage College, the Macs earned their first win in the NECVA conference, 3-1 (30-22, 28-30, 30-25, 30-25). Varnai joins 5 others on the team that had two each from the top two finishers in the conference. The Macs found themselves down 7 at the half but were outscored by 8 in the second stanza as the Panthers went on to win 72-57.
